When I see the $40 billion tariff impact number for Japanese OEMs I think about what that number actually means in the decisions I watch get made quarter to quarter. Allocation cuts. Incentive budget compression. Product launch delays. Trim line eliminations. Support headcount reductions. Those are the transmission mechanisms from a policy headline to a field sales operation. None of that shows up in the press coverage. The coverage treats it as a financial story about OEM profitability. It is also an operational story about what happens to the people selling and supporting these vehicles when the organization is absorbing that kind of cost pressure. I have watched our support resources get thinner every quarter and the public number finally explains the direction clearly. We are not done absorbing this.
