The automotive marketing industry continues to see consolidation, acquisitions, and the growth of large technology and advertising providers.
In theory, larger agencies should offer better technology, stronger resources, and more sophisticated campaign management.
But does that translate into better service for individual dealerships?
When an agency manages hundreds or thousands of stores, how much attention does each dealer actually receive?
Does the agency understand the dealership’s inventory, local competition, sales objectives, and market conditions?
Or does every store end up receiving a similar campaign structure, standardized reporting, and a monthly meeting with an account manager who has too many clients?
Size alone doesn’t determine quality. Some large agencies deliver excellent results, and some smaller agencies struggle with resources and execution.
But dealerships should understand how their accounts are actually managed.
Would you rather work with a large automotive agency with extensive technology and resources or a smaller provider offering more individualized attention?
What matters more: technology, pricing, performance, or the people managing your account?
